Range: 10 yards + 10 yards per level Duration: Permanent (until dispelled) Area of effect: Any trees within the range(see below) Spell level: 3rd Spell components: V,M,S Saving throw: none Reversable: Yes Description: This spell, obviously, turns all trees in the range into toothpics. The material components are merely the trees. The spell caster, if he chooses, may enable 1d8 per level of caster of the trees around him to not turn into toothpics. The orientation of the trees stays the same ie if all the trees are standing, then all the tooth pics will be standing too (with about 25% of there length barried). The tops of the trees will become the thinner end of a toothpic, and the thicker end will become the rooted end. The type of wood of the toothpic will be the same as the tree was. When cast the trees take 1 round to polymorph into toothpics. The reverse of this spell (Toothpics to Trees), however, is somewhat usefull. In this spell, the caster can turn 1d4 toothpics per level into trees 6d6 inches (6" to 3')wide and 1' times thickness tall (unless the toothpics were origanally trees that were change by this spell in which case it returns to its origanal height and thickness). Note that the trees will be of the same orientation of the toothpics so if they want the trees to be standing normaly, the toothpics must be plated with 25% of the thicker end of the tooth pick barried. Merely scattering a box of tooth picks on the ground and casting the spell will result in a jumbled pile of trees which can slow down persuers etc. The type of tree will be the type of wood the toothpic is made from. This spell cannot be used offensively(maybe?) but casting inside a building will cause the trees to destroy the roofs/walls if the size is great enough and causes the appropriet dammage to all hit by falling rocks. At the DM's discretion, the toothpics may need to be treated specially with rare components (this is suggested if you do allow them to be used offensively. |
